Cambodia is a big history yet a small country. It is also slowly recovering from the known horrors of the Khmer Rouge`s reign of terror. Even though some major problems such as devastated infrastructure as well as poverty still exists, the country`s healing process and reconstruction is now well under way. There has been also an increase number of tourists visiting the country as they discover new as well as rediscovering Cambodia`s attractions. Except from the stunning temples of Angkor that usually draw a large number of tourists the country has much more to offer. This include; the colonial buildings the tropical beaches and a profusion of natural tourist attractions.

The sleepy towns and cities of Cambodia are a delight, with their old fashioned charm and the faded colonial architecture of the colonists. The country side also has memorable landscapes that you can’t resist to be part of, from the great Tonle Sap Lake and the Mekong River to the forested highlands of Rattanakiri, the cardamom Mountains and the Mondulkiri. The coast also will serve you right with its party lifestyle hedonism cocktail, idyllic beaches and the magic islands. Also an interesting thing about Cambodia is that it still is a rural society and something of a regional backwater.
